The Wright Architecture Process

What to Expect From Beginning to End

We break down our design process into phases to align the scope with your vision and construction costs along the way.

01.

Initial Consultation

Let's start the conversation

We will start by having you fill-out our client inquiry form. Upon submission, you'll be prompted to book a complimentary 30-minute zoom consultation with us. This gives us an opportunity to learn more about your project and what your needs will be. During our call, we'll review your project scope, discuss our services, and walk through our process. We'll gather all necessary information to create your project proposal.

02.

Discovery Site Visit

Getting to know your space

Following our initial consultation and upon acceptance of our proposal, you'll receive a link to book your one-hour site visit. We'll walk through your space together, reviewing your needs, wants, and dreams to define detailed project scope. We'll look at your inspiration photos, existing drawings, and discuss any other important details you'd like to share.

03.

Schematic Design

Bringing your vision to life

  • Obtain as-built drawings of your home through our trusted partners

  • Conduct thorough code research, including planning and building department coordination

  • Create 1-2 schematic design options including inspiration, initial material palette, site plan & floor plan.

  • Hold schematic review meeting via zoom

  • Provide revisions based on your feedback

  • Coordinate with contractors for rough order of magnitude (ROM) estimates to help you make informed decisions about scope

04.

Design Development

Adding depth and detail

We'll model your chosen design in Revit (3D model) and produce a comprehensive design development set including detailed, drafted project data sheet, site plan, floor plans, elevations, sections and 3D views.

05.

Interior Development

Optional but recommended

  • Develop interior elevations, enlarged plans and 3D views

  • Guide material, fixture and finish selection

  • Include specification sheet for interior selections

  • Create renderings to visualize materials in space

Note: This is an optional service. We're happy to work with your interior designer or support you in making your own selections.

06.

Construction Documentation

Preparing for build

  • Create full permit submittal & bid set

  • Submit for building permit

  • Issue bid set to potential contractors

  • Respond to plan check comments

  • Issue approved plans to the team

  • Review and analyze contractor bids

07.

Key Site and Virtual Meetings

Bringing it all together

Available on an hourly basis, we recommend participating in these key meetings:
